When Nick first saw Stephanie at the Hotel Olean, he immediately told a friend that she was the woman he was to marry.  They married September 5, 1954.  Together in Olean, the had seven children, first living with Catherine Miller and then buying the house on Washington Street across from the park.

In 1967 they moved to Houston, and their 8th child was born.  From there, they moved to Richmond, VA, then Easton, PA before settling down in Galion Ohio for over thirty years.  Nick loved to swim and garden, Stephanie loved to cook and feed her family, garden, and pursue her faith.  They both loved their grandchildren deeply.
