Vera Karnath Melisz was the only child of Rudolph Karnath and Frances Snead. Vera married John Melisz and lived on both Remington nd 344 Okell in Buffalo before moving to 100 Central Avenue in Springville.  She was known for being kind and helping those in need.  She would take the bus to downtown Buffalo to teach the homeless how to read.
